Event description
It's time for the women to take over AMBC Fall Fest with group rides for all abilities and riding styles!

About this event

Sunday, November 6th 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Join us at Baker Creek Preserve in the heart of Knoxville’s Urban Wilderness for the 12th Annual Fall Festival!!! Hosted by AMBC and presented by Audi Knoxville.

Grab a friend or make some new one at this free event for riders of all abilities. We will only have 7 riders per group, plus the leader and sweep. Masks will be required when you stop and in the parking lot. Masks are not required while riding. Please wear your mask when you are stopped. The trail can get crowded and we will all breathing a little harder.

This event is free, but register by September 16th. This helps us ensure we have enough volunteers and supplies.

We will not have demo bikes available for the Joy Ride. Our ride will be about an hour and a half and most demos can only be out for 30 minutes. But after our ride there will be some demos available from vendors.

Harper's Bike Shop will be on hand to do quick bike checks before the ride. If you need them to look at your bike, please get there early.

Our rides are pressure-free and worry-free. We make sure every rider is comfortable with the group's pace and that no section of trail is beyond the ability level of the group. E-bike are welcome.

Ride leaders needed!

We are looking for ride leaders and sweeps to lead our ride groups in a fun and safe manner. If you are a confident rider with a genuine interest in sharing your love of the sport, please select "volunteer" in the ticket option below and be on the lookout for an email from You don't have to be an advanced rider to volunteer; just be confident at the level you choose in a follow-up form.

Riding Levels

New Rider: I'm entirely new to mountain biking, or I've attempted a couple of rides but would love to receive a little coaching. You will get on the dirt, get comfortable with your bike, gear, and learn some basic mountain biking skills. Distances will be up to 7 miles.

Beginner: I'm relatively new to mtb (still a beginner); I like it and want to learn about how to be comfortable on varied terrain with more technical features, but I'm not quite ready for drops and jumps.

Beginner Plus: I'm comfortable on the easier trails and and I'm venturing out onto harder trails but still have to walk some of the more technical features. My stamina is getting better and I want to improve my technical abilities on more challenging terrain.

Intermediate: I am a very confident rider and can ride my bike on very technical terrain. I can be out for hours at a time on a regular basis. I enjoy pushing the limits.

Volunteer: I'm a confident rider. I know the trails well, and I'd love to help out as a ride leader or sweep! There will be a separate form for you to list your volunteer preferences. You don't have to be an advanced rider to volunteer; just be confident at the level you choose in the volunteer form.
