Event description

Description

The Ambassador Program is a response to the One Love Louisville “Be the One to Make a Difference” Call to Action. Our goal is to engage as many community members as possible around the violence prevention initiative. Ambassadors will work alongside the Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods to make safer neighborhoods in our community. They will also be trained in 5 different content areas that exist within our Ambassador Institute. Those areas are The CDC Public Health Approach to Violence Prevention, Conflict Resolution, Community Organizing, Suicide Prevention and Mental Health First Aid. Community members will then use the knowledge gained and other resources to share with others and host community events that engages the community around the current issues that they see as important and necessary to combat.

Please park alongside 5th or 6th street. (parking is free after 6 p.m.)
