DESCRIPTION

The Embassy of Brazil will host a seminar on Amazon culture and literature with Sylvia Guimarães of the Vaga Lume NGO and Professors Bryan McCann and Narlan Teixeira. Learn about literacy, literature and culture in the Brazilian Amazon with three experts on Brazil and social studies. Sylvia Guimarães will talk about the tales from the Amazon as seen through handicraft books, while Professor McCann will address inside and outside perspectives on the Amazon region, their respective origins and ways its diverse character can impact us. The conversation will be moderated by Professor Narlan Teixeira.
