Amazon Alexa Hack For Education
Sat, March 25, 2017, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM EDT
Join us for an all day event (with an online kickoff on Friday) focused on the Amazon Alexa platform and higher education. Participants will be presented a number of challenges around the Alexa platform, have a few mini-challenges, brainstorm, and then organize themselves into teams.
Each team will develop a concept, begin basic prototyping/architecting, start customer discovery, and work with mentors during the event. Teams will present their concepts, prototypes, and basic customer profiles in a short presentation at the end of the event.
Various prizes, including Amazon devices, will be awarded to participants. Details on the scope of the challenge will be provided at the online kickoff. Registered attendees will begin receiving information via email the week before the event.
Food, beverages and fun will be had by all. All Mason students are welcome regardless of background or experience level. This event is interdisciplinary with students, faculty, staff and mentors from across Mason participating.
