When & Where
Amandla Development works to improve learning opportunities and outcomes by coordinating a cross-sector community partnership of effective leaders and building their capacity to drive change.
While improving the quality of schools is important, if children aren't ready to learn those improvements matter little. The reality in Philippi is that life is difficult, and students there bring those difficulties into the classroom with them. Those distractions are so heavy that only 30% of them will successfully finish high school and fewer than 10% will get through university.
Amandla Development coordinates a cross-sector community partnership in Philippi where schools, government departments, NGOs, youth groups and others collaborate to ensure that Philippi's youth are fully supported to be ready to learn and succeed.
