Event Details

Join the Delaware Association of Volunteer Administrators for a day of learning from the best in the Volunteer Management field from the US and Canada without leaving Delaware.

Leading the Way, Not Managing the Day is the volunteer management hybrid conference presented by AL!VE, Better Impact, and VMPC. This unique experience draws some of the most dedicated and hardworking leaders to this conference in order to share their tools for success. Now in its fourth year, this year's topic explores how volunteer leaders move from managing to leading. Our current streamable event (available to members only) consists of sessions delivered by multiple distinguished speakers, followed by a moderated discussion with the other presenters including responses to questions from the audience.

Food will be provided as well.

Keynote Speakers

Dana Litwin is the host and President-Elect of AL!VE

Dana will lead discussions with the
presenting team and facilitate the international discussions via Twitter and
the live-stream feed.

Heidi Jakop is the Director of Volunteer Engagement of the Vancouver Botanical Gardens Association

volunteers to shine.

Beth Steinhorn is the President of VQ Volunteer Strategies

share tips on how to get a seat at the leadership table and shift from managing
volunteers to instead, serving as an internal consultant to support staff from
across the organization in effectively engaging and supporting volunteers.

Angela Williamson is the Volunteer Manager at Hagley Museum and Library

Angela will bring ideas and take away points
that the learner can implement that moment or the next day to either save them
