What's the right amount of time to stay at one job? Or in one career? In today's dynamic career landscape, how do you assess what makes sense as your next step? Join Eric Horwitz CC'90, head coach for the Columbia Career Coaching Network, to learn what questions to ask yourself and the steps to consider when contemplating a move in your current organization or into a new career.

You will learn:

  • questions to ask to assess where your career is and if it is time for a change;

  • how to time your career transitions for optimal outcomes; and

  • the steps to consider when making career changes.

This webinar will include a 20-minute presentation by Eric Horwitz CC'90 followed by a 20-minute Q&A session moderated by Josh Lipsky CC'08.

AlumniTALK is a new series of webinars for alumni 10–20 years out that feature Columbia College alumni talking about a variety of topics — from creating a flourishing personal life to enhancing your career and much more.

The inaugural AlumniTALK series features three webinars focused on enhancing relationships, increasing your influence and preparing for career moves.

Webinars are led by College alumni experts and professionals with extensive experience coaching or mentoring mid-career professionals. These 45- to 60-minute sessions are designed to be accessible anywhere.

Speaker Bio

Eric Horwitz CC’90 is a life and career coach who works with corporate executives and entrepreneurs to achieve personal and professional success. He helps executives design a career and life plan that maximizes their strengths and identifies areas for personal and professional improvement. he improvements are put into action and a sustainable lifestyle is maintained. Horwitz was a senior executive in the Human Resource Consulting practice of PriceWaterhouseCoopers for 12 years and attended Coach University, where he earned his coaching degree in 2007. He is head coach for the Columbia Career Coaches Network.
