Alumni Learning Series & International Night
Join the UIC School of Public Health Alumni Board and the College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts for the 2017 Alumni Learning Series. The evening begins at 6 PM with a film screening of the documentary Raising Bertie. In the film, Margaret Byrne (BFA '01) depicts an honest and in-depth look at issues facing rural America's youth and what happens in the everyday lives of young people caught in the complex interplay of generational poverty, economic isolation, and educational inequity. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director at 7:10 PM.
After the Alumni Learning Series concludes, join us at the school's annual International Night in the SPH Activities Room. International Night is a wonderful opportunity to bring together students, faculty, alumni, and the UIC community for an evening of culturally diverse food, fun and entertainment. The evening is a celebration of the many different populations that comprise the UIC community, as well those with whom we work across the city, nation, and globe. It's sure to be a fun evening of food and music from all over the world!
