Alumni Day 2021

What's Different This Year?

• An All-Virtual Event. Please do not come to campus! Alumni Day 2021 will happen via Zoom.
• Coordinated Panels and Panelists. 3 to 5 pre-arranged alumni will serve on each panel in order to help us manage Q&A. Don't worry; each session will feature time at the end for any alum to speak.
• Global Possibilities. Alumni located across the globe will be able to participate remotely.

This Year's Topics

Retrospective: The Athenian Community During Times of Fear

The Upper School will gather to hear from four Alumni who were students during significant events including the Vietnam War, the AIDS epidemic and September 11th. Panelists will paint a picture of campus life during those eras and contrast current circumstances with COVID.

Alumni Symposium: College Life

Following the retrospective, students will be able to choose from the following panels. Please email alumni@athenian.org if you are interested in speaking on any of these panels:

• Campus After COVID. Young alumni will answer questions about classes, athletics and maintaining social relationships on college campuses that are currently managing COVID.
• Gap Years and Alternative Paths. Alumni who did not go directly from Athenian to four-year universities will speak about their experiences.
• The College Experience. Alumni will share key differences between high school and college and reflect on how Athenian prepared them for the transition.
