Event description

Description

Facilitated by Troy Bronsink

What does Contemplation look like in the hustle and bustle of urban life? How does mindful meditation actually translate into justice and creativity? How do we move from faiths rooted in either-or toward both-and? These are all questions posed by Franciscan Friar, Richard Rohr in his book Eager to Love: The Alternative Way of Francis. Join Hive Director, Troy Bronsink, for a 7 week small group to both learn to meditate and discuss select chapters of Rohr’s book. As with all classes at the Hive, this small group is inclusive and open to any faith or otherwise. That said, it is worth noting that Troy is an ordained Presbyterian minister and this class will address the integration of the Christian lineage and the wider Perennial Contemplative tradition.

Troy Bronsink is Founder/Director of the Hive. He is a spiritual director, published author, facilitator and minister from the Protestant, Presbyterian Christian lineage. In both secular and faith-based settings, Troy’s work has been to build spiritual depth within creatives, activists, and entrepreneurs. Troy has presented at Creative Mornings, 99U, and TEDx’s Innovation Alley and is an active student in the Living School at Albuquerque's Center for Contemplation and Action. He lives with his wife and two kids in Northside.
