Event description
This webinar looks at how to develop a successful intervention strategy for pupils with special needs.

About this Event

Assistive technology has made a huge difference to many pupils with special needs. The benefit is in the ease of use compared to traditional handwriting methods. For some pupils handwriting is difficult and impossible to achieve due to fine motor difficulties.

This webinar considers the use of alternative methods of recording and will cover a range of tools using assistive technology. If you are considering using assistive technology or are just interested in seeing what is available, then this webinar is for you.

Our webinar speakers are Myles Pilling and Lee Chambers.

Myles Pilling is a teacher with 30 years experience who also spent ten years working as an adviser for ICT SEN, operating a loan bank of equipment to pupils with special needs including dyslexia and cerebral palsy. He is a co-director of the British Assistive Technology Association and a part-time external lecturer at Bath Spa University on BA and MA dyslexia courses.

Lee Chambers is an Education Manager at Sonocent - an assistive technology company providing support through recording speech and active listening to lessons. He delivered training for a number of years at Learning Labs and e-Quality learning.
