ALTAR DIGITAL - Día de Muertxs

Celebración colectiva desde la Danza, Música y Arte

Celebra con nosotrxs el Día de Muertxs y participa creando ofrendas para el Altar Digital en memoria de tus seres queridxs. Una experiencia para conectar con nuestras comunidades, reflexionar sobre lo pasado y fallecido; y acompañarnos a celebrar la vida desde la expresión artística.

¿Qué es un Altar Digital? Una compilación de fotos e imágenes representativas de un altar de Día de Muertxs.

¿En qué consiste la creación de ofrendas? Para la sesión de zoom, estaremos trabajando en grupos pequeños liderados por artistas. Se facilitará un proceso artístico para generar una ofrenda en forma de imágen o movimiento, dependiendo con cual artista te registres.

¿En qué consiste la transmisión en vivo? La activación de ofrendas y el resultado del Altar Digital será transmitido en vivo a través de la plataforma interactiva AEEJA.

¿Cómo participar?

1. Regístrate en Eventbrite para confirmar tu asistencia.
2. Escoge un cuarto de zoom.
3. Conéctate el día del evento y trae una foto de tu ser queridx.

Dirigido a: público en general. No necesitas experiencia previa.

Collective celebration through Dance, Music and Art

Let’s celebrate together the Day of the Dead and join us in the creation of offerings for a Digital Altar dedicated in memory of our loved ones. An experience to connect with our community, to reflect on the past and gone, and to accompany each other in celebrating life and honoring death through artistic expression.

What is a Digital Altar? A compilation of photos and images in representation of the elements of the Altar for the Day of the Dead.

How are we creating offerings? For the zoom session, we will be working in small groups led by artists. They will facilitate an artistic process to generate an offering in the form of image or movement, depending on the zoom room you register.

Direction: Yanina Orellana

Yanina Orellana is a movement artist and somatic therapist from Guadalajara, México. Yanina’s choreographic work has been shown in Mexico, New York, New Orleans, and in Los Angeles at different venues. Since 2016, she creates dance for camera, interactive performances and participative online projects. She is part of the “Cassandra Project”, directed by Meryl Murman, which has been in residency and sharing workshops in México, U.S.A. and Greece. Yanina is a certified Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist by the EastWest Somatics Institute led by Sondra Fraleigh. She received her Bachelors in Fine Arts degree from the Sharon Disney Lund Dance School at California Institute of the Arts.

Yanina Orellana es artista de movimiento y terapeuta somática. Su trabajo coreográfico se ha presentado en Mexico, Nueva York, Nueva Orleans y en Los Ángeles en diversas sedes. Desde el 2016, ella crea video-danza, performances interactivos y proyectos participativos en línea. Ella es parte de ¨Casssandra Project¨, dirigido por Meryl Murman, con el cual han obtenido residencias y compartido talleres y laboratorios en México, Estados Unidos y Grecia. Yanina está certificada como Educadora y Terapeuta Somática por EastWest Somatics México. Ella obtuvo la licenciatura en Danza en California Institute of the Arts; graduándose en el 2015.
