Tour Description

Tour Host: Tracey Mann

Join us for a learning adventure through the neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant. This walk is geared to families with children seven years-of-age and under, and will be filled with family fun for everyone!

Children attending the walk will be given letters of the alphabet and will become part of an adventure to find evidence of the alphabet in our neighbourhood. Our walk will visit areas and programs that promote family literacy, and our guide will help children seek letters that match up with to their alphabet as we explore the community.

This is an interactive family-learning opportunity, and we will have prizes that encourage learning for children and adults along the walk. Snacks and refreshments will be served at the end of the walk.

Tour Host Bio

Tracey Mann is the literacy outreach coordinator for Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House.

Special Instructions

This is a family-oriented walk. While most of the activities are for the entire family the content of the walk is best suited to parents and children aged seven and under.

This tour is wheelchair accessible.
