Alpha Day at the Capitol
Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM (EST)
Since 2008, the Georgia District of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has sponsored “Alpha Day at the Capitol”. On Thursday, February 20, 2014, the dynamic Brothers of the Georgia District will return to the State Capitol for the seventh annual “Jewel” event. Our mission is to launch a state legislature - supported initiative that assesses and articulates the issues and challenges confronting African American males throughout the state of Georgia. Our focus will continue to address the District’s legislative agenda through a partnership with Georgia Appleseed, The Southern Center for Human Rights, and Georgia Legal Services. In addition to alumni Brothers, we encourage college Brothers, as well as, mentees from chapters across the District to participate. Don’t miss this “Jewel” opportunity to join other Alpha Men of the Georgia District as we return to Atlanta to once again make our presence known to the legislative body of this great state.
