Event description

Description

Our spring Soiree features Rieko Aizawa and Jesse Mills in an intimate setting. Guests are greeted with a champagne welcome and treated to a piano and violin performance of Schubert and Franck. Guests are invited to mingle with the artists after the performance.

Wine, heavy appetizers and dessert will be served.

Alpenglow was born in1998 out of a dream of two musicians at the Colorado Symphony, Bil Jackson, principal clarinetist, and Steven Copes, concertmaster, to create a Chamber Music Festival in the mountains. First, under the auspices of the Lake Dillon Foundation for the Performing Arts, it was named "Music from the Summit." In 2000, it became independent and changed its name to "Alpenglow Chamber Music Festival" and went on, year after year, to bring world-class classical music performed by nationally and internationally acclaimed professional musicians to Summit County.

Today, Alpenglow is fortunate to have our extraordinary artistic directors Rieko Aizawa and Jesse Mills join us for a 22nd Season.

The Soiree on June 15, 2019 will feature:

Schubert: Sonatina for violin and piano in a minor

Franck: Sonata for violin and piano in A Major
