Alloy School Fall 2012
You don’t have to be a pro to take a dance class at The Alloy School. All of our classes are taught in a fun, welcoming, and noncompetitive environment. Master teachers guide students as they explore new styles, get in shape, and express themselves through movement. Add some spice to your exercise routine, bring your kids for an active morning, spend quality time with your teen, or make dance class your date night.

Hip Hop with Gino Vaccaro - Mondays, 6:00–7:00p
This class is designed to improve stamina, strength, and choreography retention. Students are lead through a brief warm-up followed by combination instruction. The majority of the class will be dedicated to combination development, ending with a recovery cool-down. Various styles of hip hop dance will be examined through music by Jennifer Lopez, lil’ Wayne, Adele, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and more. Some movement experience preferred, but not required. Salsa/Merengue with Marlon Silva - Mondays, 7:00–8:00p
Heat up this fall with a lively and energetic dance class. Bring your favorite dance partner or meet one in the class and explore two of the most popular Latin dances in a fun and welcoming environment. Learn how to lead and follow, as you dance to spicy Salsa, Merengue, and Cha Cha music. Be sure to wear soft-soled shoes for indoor purposes only. All experience levels welcome. Thru December 3, 2012
Belly Dancing with Mirjana - Tuesdays, 6:00–7:00p
Belly Dance is a fun, challenging, and great way to stay fit and feel beautiful. Come improve your posture, increase your flexibility, strengthen your muscles and put some serious shimmy in your step. No experience necessary. Thru December 4, 2012
Ballet with Andrew Blight - Tuesdays, 7:15– 8:15p
Expression. Precision. Flexibility. This class is your chance to brush up on the fundamentals of ballet, or learn them for the first time. Discover the graceful movements of this timeless genre with music from Saint-Saens, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Satie, and more. All experience levels welcome. Thru December 4, 2012
Modern Technique I with Maribeth Maxa-Fukas - Wednesdays, 6:00–7:00p
Learn the graceful and physical aspects of this contemporary technique that draws on ballet and jazz. Enjoy movement as you gain a new sense of self, strength, and flexibility. Beginners only. Thru December 5, 2012

Join former Dance Alloy Company member Maribeth in advancing, stretching and strengthening your understanding of Modern Dance and movement. Intermediate and advanced dancers only. Thru December 5, 2012
Hip Hop Movement with the Get Down Gang - Thursdays, 6:00–7:00p
This very special hip hop series features a new instructor every week from the Get Down Gang, exploring elements of bboy/bgirl dance, popping, locking, housing, and footwork. This class is open to students of all experience levels and is perfect for those interested in fresh new hip hop styles. Thru December 6, 2012
Making Orange Juice with Jasmine Hearn - Ages 13–17, Saturdays, 9:30–10:45a
Offered on three Saturdays: 10/6/12, 11/3/12, 12/1/12
Jasmine Hearn will lead this class experience for teenagers who are interested in pursuing art. Students will experiment with art forms and discover their own individual artistic voice and work towards the goal of articulation and clarity within themselves, all within the safe and supportive environment of the classroom. Register for all three at $40 or take them individually at the Drop-In Rate. Open to all teens.
Grown Up & Me - Creative Movement for Toddlers with Laurie Tarter - Saturdays, 9:45–10:25a
Explore basic motor skills such as bouncing, jumping, and running to music in this class for the young aspiring dancer. Join your little dancer in the studio for a fun experience together! Thru December 8, 2012

Encourage your little one’s creativity with this class that explores shape-making, story-telling, and game-playing with music, body, and dance. Thru December 8, 2012
