Please join us for our networking happy hour event for the Alliance of Girls in STEM!
Our goal is to show girls and boys that girls belong in science and technology fields, too!
We have a great cause, but few people know about us.
That's where you come in, you do-gooder you!
We are launching our first book showing girls in STEM via Kickstarter and we need some social media help in getting the word out!
We need your support to promote our organization to your personal network, the media and the tech-loving community-at-large.
We want everyone who cares about changing the ratio in science and technology to run and pledge to our project and help us to build a huge pipeline of future women in tech, changing the face of society forever!
We believe picture books and other visual media can drive changes in the future face of STEM.
Come find out more about us, and how you can help make that change happen.
There will also be plenty of opportunity to network with other supporters who also believe in this important cause, and also a cash bar with drink specials.
Come eat, drink, and be merry with us at Amity Hall!
About Alliance for Girls in STEM:
We are a startup nonprofit children's book publisher.
Our purpose is simple: we create picture books for girls from 4-8 years old that show girls as the main characters in science and technology-related stories.
We do this to show the next generation of girls and boys that girls belong in science and technology, too.
We believe by giving our books away for FREE to as many nonprofits and schools as we can afford, we can help encourage the next generation of girls to look at science and technology careers as goals and options.
Can we reduce future gender disparity in tech by changing the images that young girls see today?
That is what we aim to find out, one book at a time.
