ALLEE WILLIS IN CONVERSATION WITH BETH LAPIDES

Join us for a very special evening of music, mogo and magic!

Allee Willis is a Grammy, Emmy, Tony and Webby award-winning and nominated songwriter who was inducted in the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 2018 and whose hits have sold more than 60 million records. Willis also co-authored the Oprah Winfrey-produced Grammy and Tony-winning Broadway musical "The Color Purple," soon to be a major motion picutre produced by Steven Spielberg, Oprah, and Quincy Jones, and is also a performer, visual artist, mutli-mediaist, director, collector, social artist, and party thrower!

Beth Lapides is a writer, performer, comedian, producer and creative coach who created the legendary UnCabaret comedy show. She is also an actress, author and host of the podcast "Life and Beth." She was recently featured on the cover of the LA Weekly in honor of the 25th anniversary of UnCabaret.

This event is a program of the City of West Hollywood's Lesbian Speakers Series, a series of free talks, performances and readings featuring phenomenal lesbians and queer friends. Event co-sponsored by UnCabaret, Mazer Lesbian Archives and Los Angeles LGBT Center's Audre Lorde Health Program.
