The Lived Experience Network (LEN) comes to Wales - Wednesday 21st June 2017

Welsh Universities have linked together to host the Summer LEN event - we will be travelling together through healthcare students' journeys and how they engage in the patient experience in:

Recruitment, Assessment, Student Experience, Curriculum Development and Research.


Morning Session

Welsh Universities showcase the student journey

Afternoon Session

Interactive Groups; "What students get out of involvement" and "Accessing hard to reach groups."


We are delighted to announce that Vaughan Gething AM, Cabinet Secretary for Health, Wellbeing and Sport will be opening the event.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Unfortunately there is no parking available on campus.

There is a number of Pay and display car parks located around Singleton Campus, as follows:

Recreation Ground Car Park (500 spaces)
Singleton Boating Lake Car Park (184 spaces)

By train, bus or coach:

If you are arriving in Swansea by train, a regular and reliable bus service runs from Swansea railway station to the Quadrant Bus Station in the city centre.

If you are arriving in Swansea by bus/coach to the Quadrant Bus Station, the Singleton Park Campus is served by a range of local bus services – please see the First Cymru website for full details.

Bus numbers 2A, 3A, and 82A depart from the Quadrant Bus Station for the University’s Singleton Park Campus every 15 minutes. These buses will bring you straight onto the Singleton Park Campus itself and buses return from the Singleton Park Campus to the Quadrant Bus Station at regular intervals.

The ftrmetro service (or purple "bendy-bus") service – number 4 bus – also provides a direct link from Swansea railway station to the Singleton Park Campus, at an approximate cost of £3.50 single and £4.00 return if using a day ticket. Visit the First Cymru site for full details.

Alternatively, a taxi from Swansea railway station to the Singleton Park Campus will cost around £7/£8.
