About Marcus Belgrave

Marcus Belgrave is Detroit's internationally recognized jazz trumpeter.  He came to prominence in the late 50's, touring and recording with the late great Ray Charles' Orchestra, at the height of Ray's hit-making era.  His performances encompass the history of jazz musical styles, from early New Orleans, to swing, bebop and the latest contemporary sounds.  He was an original member of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.  Marcus has performed the music of Louis Armstrong to ovations with symphonies across America.  His protégés include the who's who of young jazz musicians: violinist Regina Carter, bassist Robert Hurst, saxophonist Kenny Garrett, pianist Geri Allen, saxophonist James Carter, bassist Ray Parker Jr., drummer Ali Jackson, and the list goes on.

About Anthony Wilson

Anthony Wilson is one of the leading jazz musicians of his generation.  Known for his imagination, maturity, and depth, the guitarist/composer/arranger has recorded eight critically-acclaimed solo albums since 1997, including his Grammy-nominated self-titled debut album, 2006’s “Power of Nine.”  Anthony Wilson has been an indispensable member of Diana Krall’s quartet since he joined her in 2001 for a series of performances at Paris’ Olympia Theater that were collected on the Grammy-winning CD/DVD “Live In Paris” (Verve).  Recordings and performances during the past decade with Willie Nelson, Mose Allison, Bobby Hutcherson, Barbra Streisand, Madeleine Peyroux, Jessie Baylin, and Aaron Neville have continued to spotlight Wilson’s growing artistry, musical flexibility, and improvisational authority.  His father is the legendary composer/arranger/bandleader Gerald Wilson.
