Event description

Description

How can we ensure that the growing conversation around making tech more "ethical" is truly having an impact? On Tues, February 18th, All Tech Is Human is hosting an informal gathering of the people and organizations diligently working to improve the status quo. Hear and meet some of the advocates, org leaders, artists, designers, students, startups, and big tech people in the growing tech change movement.

How can we improve the cohesiveness of the movement and the ability to share knowledge? Given the broadness of issues being tackled (misinformation, facial recognition, humane design, algorithmic bias, diversity in tech), this is not an easy task. On Feb 18th, we will be mapping out ideas for a greater level of action and impact. All Tech Is Human will also be discussing what we have learned from previous "ethical tech summits" that we have held in NYC, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Let's co-create a more thoughtful future towards technology.

**We are currently at capacity, so please sign up for the waitlist where tickets will be made available as space permits**

**Do you want to CONTINUE the conversation after Feb 18th? All Tech Is Human has a podcast, Funny as Tech, that tackles the thorniest issues in tech. On Tues, March 10th Funny as Tech will have a LIVE SHOW at the Peoples Improv Theater with three special guests discussing & debating: Why Is There a Techlash?! The show is at 8 pm and reservations can be made here: bit.ly/FATmarch10

Special guests for MARCH 10th include Yael Eisenstat (Visiting Fellow at Cornell Tech in the Digital Life Initiative, former CIA, diplomat, Global Head of Elections Integrity Operations in Facebook's business integrity org), Joe Toscano (Author and Int'l Keynote Speaker, Automating Humanity), and Stephanie Humphrey (Technology Contributor for ABC News)

**How are ethics being incorporated in the tech industry? We are looking to find out! All Tech Is Human is helping conduct survey research around tech ethics in practice. This is a short (20-min) anonymous survey: TECH ETHICS IN PRACTICE SURVEY
