Hillsborough and Sarasota/Manatee MPO invites you to an All-Hazards Recovery Plan Training
The Hillsborough, Manatee/Sarasota region has been selected as one of six to participate in an All-Hazards Recovery Plan Training. The training consists of a two-day course where the University of Portland's best researchers will help us enhance our region's transportation recovery plans.
What you will learn:
You will receive the tools, knowledge, skills and resources to enhance regional emergency transportation recovery plans. This includes coordinating transit, travel demand management, social media and technological strategies while recognizing the specific needs, resources and relationships with emergency responders within each region.
The training contains highly interactive presentations and class exercises coupled with numerous individual and small-group practice activities. It will help ensure that you as a participant, develop a high level of mastery in the class, and will facilitate the transfer of the relevant skills to our local emergency planners.
Who should participate:

Institutions that has responsibilities for creating, reviewing, funding, implementing, and/or executing emergency operations and transportation recovery plans;

Personnel responsible for emergency management; or

Representatives of transit agencies, city and state departments of transportation, major employers, paratransit providers, and developers.
