A special CoderDojo for girls ages 10-17
Registration opens one week before event at 12:00 p.m.
- Good typing skills
- Minimum age, 10 years old
Pamela Fox works for Khan Academy, the online education provider. She creates their computer programming curriculum and develops the platform to deliver it. On the side, she also teaches programming classes for GirlDevelopIt and GirlsWhoCode in San Francisco.
What to bring:
- A laptop and charger
- A parent - Participants 13 years old or younger, must attend with a parent
No outside food is allowed - light refreshments will be served.
Please eat before you come.
Must a parent attend?
Yes. If participant is 13 or under, a parent or guardian is required to attend.
Participants between the ages of 14 and 17 may bring a parent or guardian, or come by themselves.
Is a laptop required?
Yes. Please make sure each participant comes with their own laptop.
Can I use a tablet?
No. Tablets are not compatible with the programming environment
May I bring non-participating family members?
No. Space is limited, and only registered participants will be allowed access in the building.
Are there any prerequisites to attend the event?
Sometimes. The event overview will list if any prerequisites are required.
Is there parking at the event?
Yes, and parking is free!
How early may I arrive?
Doors will open 30 minutes before scheduled event time. We encourage everyone to arrive early, in order to allow time for parking, check in and set-up.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
No. If you cannot attend, please cancel your ticket, so we can release tickets to those on the wait list.
Will tickets be available at the door?
No. All tickets will be issued, online, prior to the event.
Is the event handicap accessible?
Yes. The building has elevators and there are accessible bathrooms.
