Event description

Description

In this workshop, participants will spend an evening exploring and learning all about one of the most misunderstood plant healers: the bright and sunny, prolific and giving, hardy dandelion!

We'll dive into its history, herbal actions,,nutritional, medicinal, and cosmetic uses while tasting various dandelion based concoctions (ex. dandelion 'coffee', dandelion bread).

We'll also discuss the lessons this "notorious weed" can teach us about our relationship to consumerism, healing, and the environment.

Participants will leave with a zine (full of recipes), herbal preparations we'll make together, as well as an enamel pin designed by The Forager's Club to spread the dandelion love.

Please bring two small glass jars - 100 - 125ml ♥

Ticket: 25$

There are a couple spots reserved for low income folks who can PWYC. Send us an email, facebook message, and/or eventbrite message for these.

This event takes place on unceded Kanien'kehá:ka land in a context of ongoing settler colonialism. Tio'tia:ke, also known as Montreal, is historically recognized as a region of gathering for numerous First Nations, and is now home to diverse communities of Indigenous people. In solidarity, We encourage participants to gain knowledge on the history of these lands, the consequences of colonialism, and to support Indigenous communities here and across Turtle Island.
