aLife Mothers' Assistance (ALMA)
aLife Mothers' Assistance (ALMA) Programme was set up to alleviate hardships faced by low-income families. Launched in late 2020, our ALMA programme supports over 100 families today. aLife aims to ensure that these babies do not miss out on the essential nutrients and foundation needed in their infancy.
In addition, ALMA Befrienders serve as a support system for the beneficiaries during their journey with aLife. Through ALMA's holistic approach, aLife aims for the ALMA families to feel heard and understood as they work towards breaking out of the poverty cycle and the difficulties that come along with it.
Be a Befriender
During the monthly visits, aLife ALMA Befrienders listen and monitor the well-being of the babies and their families. Befrienders interact with the families and track the growth of the baby. It is a fulfilling experience to see healthy babies and families.
We are looking for dedicated and caring individuals, who are willing to visit the homes of our ALMA clients, to befriend as well as delivering supplies of milk and diapers once a month. Preference is given to those who can commit at least 6 months, and own a vehicle.
Support aLife in their mission to journey with the families in need by being an ALMA Befriender. Interested? Find out more at www.alife.org.sg or contact our programme executive, Ms. Lai Kuan at 9181 5553.
