Alexander Hamilton was one of the founding fathers of the United States. Explore Hamilton’s rise to power within George Washington’s administration as the first Secretary of the Treasury. Review his role in the American Revolutionary War, political challenges with Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Examine his beliefs in the power of government. Learn of this bitter relationship with Vice President Burr. Alexander Hamilton’s impact on our government over 200 years ago is still alive today.
