About the lecture:
This lecture is open to the general public and Salmagundi club members. With the Salmagundi being such a prestigious club for so many years we are fortunate to be able to learn from the exemplary members. The club first was founded in 1871 as the Salmagundi Sketch Club. The discussion and power point will show high lights of the Salmagundi Club's collection as well as the formation of the palette collection.


About the speaker:
Alexander Katlan is a SCNY member Emeritus, author, and painting conservator for museums and private clients. Mr. Katlan has given numerous lectures at the Salmagundi Club, the West Point Museum, National Gallery of Art, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.


Reception Performers- Musicians:
The Skip Weinstock Trio will be performing.. This evening the performance will be Skip Weinstock, Fernando Martinez and Jonah Weinstock. Salmagundi Club member Skip Weinstock and his Trio have performed at clubs, events, and fine restaurants in Manhattan for many years. Their specialty is playing jazz standards, and classics from the American Songbook. Skip, Fernando, and Jonah recently performed at the Salmagundi Thumb Box Exhibition Reception on December 7, 2018 and Skip and Fernando recently performed at the Reception for the Panel Discussion: Collins, Bauman, Watwood & Mastromatteo: Moderated by Dale Zinkowski on January 11.
