Ales for Ashley
Sat, April 29, 2017, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM CDT
"Ales for Ashley" is an annual event to honor and remember Ashley Magness. She was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) brain tumor in May of 2014 and fought the brave fight for 22 months. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds to support GBM research.
Tickets are $30. A ticket includes: 3 beers, food, fun, games and a silent auction. Tickets will be sold in advance and at the door. We will accept cash, credit card, debit card or check for tickets and silent auction items.
Proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction will be used to fund GBM research at The Winship Cancer Institute of Emory. Winship is one of 69 National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated cancer research centers in the United States. For 80 years, Winship has coordinated and directed cancer research, education and care throughout Emory University and its health care system, Emory Healthcare. Winship is ranked first in Georgia for cancer care and is top-ranked nationally by U.S. News & World Report.
All ages welcome, root beer available to those under 21. For those under 21 or not drinking beer, tickets are not required but donations are welcomed and appreciated!
"Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common, complex, treatment resistant, and deadliest type of brain cancer, accounting for 45% of all brain cancers, with nearly 11,000 men, women, and children diagnosed each year. The time is now to make progress against this disease!"
