Event Details

Alchemix Sessions are curated discussions and conversations between entrepreneurs and interested, engaged audiences - with an attempt to create debate and discussion on emerging areas of innovation.

Following the success of the last 2 sessions covering models in Education and Waste Management, the third Alchemix session focuses on Healthcare Models in India. Healthcare is a big innovation sensitive area for India as we deal with more people, more urban families and better access to rural India. Join us to explore a few disruptive models in this space:

Meet Nandu Madhava, founder of mDhil, a start up social enterprise based in Bangalore that provides basic healthcare information to the Indian consumer via text messaging, mobile web browser, and interactive digital content. Nandu is a University of Texas, Austin and Harvard Grad, a TED India 2009 fellow and has volunteered with the Peace Corps as a translator in health clinics. Check out their website:

Meet Dr. Shantanu Rahman and Dr. (Maj) Satish Jeevannavar from NationWide Primary Healthcare Services. NationWide is an initiative by a team of Indian doctors that are attempting to bring the General Practitioner Model back into homes and neighbourhoods. They acknowledge that Primary Healthcare is neglected in India and see a great need for accessible and affordable Primary Healthcare facilities in cities. NationWide doctors have experience working in the United Kingdom's National Health Services and their clinics provide a vast variety of the best medical practices and services from the world over.

For the 3rd edition of the Alchemix, we are excited to be collaborating with the IDIOM DREAM:IN Centre to bring IDIOM's design innovation expertise into the mix. The Dream Centre is a great large workshop environment built around the Dream:In programme. Check out their website for more information :

Seating is limited. Please register here at the earliest or email Mansi Reddy at for more details.

More speakers to be added for this session shortly!
