Alberta Global Talent Employer Full-Day Workshop 4: RETAINING TALENT
FULL-DAY WORKSHOP 4: How to Retain Talent:
Know when to hold ‘em, know when to ‘fold em
During this fourth topic of the Alberta Global Talent workshop for Employers series, participants will consider what motivates people to stay in their jobs. To explore what factors contribute to retention of a diverse workforce, we will look at the importance of cultural responsiveness for managers who work directly with new hires. Best practices of Central Alberta employers who deal promptly and effectively with harassment, discrimination and racism will be highlighted. Additionally we will candidly discuss issues employers may encounter in their efforts to build a truly inclusive and productive workplace environment.
You will learn:
- Motivation factors for retention of immigrant employees
- Strategies to build culturally responsive managers
- How to deal effectively and promptly with harassment, discrimination and racism
- Features of inclusive workplaces
FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE, YOU MAY ALSO ATTEND JUST THE MORNING OR AFTERNOON SESSIONS (4A and 4B) PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THESE SEPARATELY ON EVENTBRITE!
