About this event
Michael Saccocio
Michael Saccocio is the Executive Director of City Mission of Schenectady. His work in helping people move from poverty to self-sufficiency and community leadership is featured in the books Vision to Action: Best Practices to Reduce the Impact of Poverty, (Volumes 1 and 2), and was included in an issue of the Stanford Social Innovation Review. He speaks extensively throughout the region and nation on topics of leadership, faith, and overcoming poverty.
Mike has previously served as Deputy Mayor of the City of Schenectady, and has played professional baseball in the Montreal Expos organization. Mike is a graduate of Union College and has a Masters Degree from Regent University in Virginia. In 2014 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from Union Graduate College. He and his wife Carol live in Glenville. They have two adult sons.
