Learning Objectives:

Archibald session – After this session, you will be able to gain a thorough understanding of the following:

  • As Managed Care Models are implemented / modified for vulnerable patient populations, provider success will be directly linked to the ability to develop and analyze a wide variety of data associated with services provided to individuals enrolled in Managed Care plans. The vulnerable populations that will be discussed are as follows:
    • Frail Elderly
    • Mental Health
    • Substance Abuse
    • Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
    • At Risk Children and Youth
    • Traumatic Brain Injured
    • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • The provider’s level of technology sophistication and specifically its ability to develop, identify, and analyze cost and service data on a “real time” basis will differentiate provider success and failure in these Managed Care Models.
  • Assuming an appropriate level of technology sophistication, providers MUST be able to convert data analytics into actionable steps signed to promote improved quality, access to care, and cost efficiency.

  • Understand the law enforcement benefits of maintaining an “effective” compliance program.
  • Detect and remediate gaps in your own compliance program in light of the DOJ factors.
  • Conform your overall compliance environment to regulatory expectations, as reflected by the DOJ factors and requirements imposed by Corporate Integrity Agreements.
