Alaskans Standup for a Cause - Sandra Lee Centre fundraiser night of comedy

If you care about orphans (you'd better, or you may be a terrible, terrible person) and you love to laugh (let's release those endorphins!), then this event is for you. Black Sheep Comedy is bringing up nationally acclaimed comedian, Derrick Tennant of Left Arm Comedy, for a one-night show, co-starring Black Sheep's founder, comedian Anji Stubbs.

This "booster shot" fundraiser will directly support the work that the Sandra Lee Centre is doing in Swaziland. If you're unfamiliar with that oganization, then you're wayyyyyy out of the loop. But, let us catch you up. With a rampant AIDS epidemic in their country, the Swazis have a life expectancy of 50 years old, leaving many kids orphaned and alone. Enter Mike and Robin Pratt. Mike and Robin were sent out by Abbott Loop Community Church like...forever ago...to start an orphanage for kids in Swaziland, Africa. As they continue to support the people and the country of Swaziland, we'd like to support the Pratts.

The ticket sales and your "opportunity to give" (don't you just love how that sounds?) will help assure that the work the Pratts are doing continues. So come prepared to laugh and give generously!

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes. As this event will be held upstairs in the Hard Rock Cafe, patrons are required to provide identification proving they're at least 21 years old. Sorry, youngsters. Maybe the next show!

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Please don't bring any outside food or drink. Feel free to order from the Hard Rock menu! And don't feel obligated to give to the Sandra Lee Centre. But if you don't, we may point you out from the stage (just kidding...probably).
