Alaska Natural Resource and Outdoor Education Association in partnership with the Anchorage Park Foundation, are proud to present the Alaska Environmental and Outdoor Education Symposium 2023! We are excited to welcome you to a day of networking and a day of professional development.

Peer reviewed research shows that kids who participate in outdoor educational activities thrive! From reducing stress, improving mental and physical health, to higher academic achievement and the likelihood of graduation. Students have better leadership and collaboration skills and a deeper sense of their place.

Day 1: It's time to come together as educators who take kids outside. Share our current programs, how we are managing the challenges of today, and our big ideas for the future. Sessions will include chances to network with other educators, presentations around personal and professional development , as well as the beginning of the conversation of “How could we encourage the State of Alaska to invest in Outdoor Ed?” Limited Space! Fee includes ANROE membership. Current ANROE members admitted free for the symposium!
