Event description
Join Nola Brantley Speaks to learn how to address vicarious trauma from an organizational perspective

About this Event

Nola Brantley Speaks has partnered with Lincoln to offer this training to Alameda County providers working with foster youth. Vicarious trauma is starting to be talked about more in the social service field, and yet, many organizations struggle to adequately address it. When it isn’t addressed, it can lead to exhaustion, burnout, absence from work, premature departure from the organization, and less effective service delivery for youth and families. This training is ideal for managers and supervisors in the social services field.

This training is designed to be interactive and reflective. The training will include some large group discussions, lecture, and reflective journaling. Participants will learn about vicarious trauma within organizations, strategies to mitigate vicarious trauma within their teams, and strategies to build resilient employees.
