Wilderness First Aid

Course taught by: SOLO

For the 2nd year in a row, the Alabama League is partnering with SOLO Southeast to provide a Wilderness First Aid and CPR certification course. This certification is a requirement of all Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches and highly recommended for all other volunteers working with a team. WFA is SOLO's most popular course and it creates a solid foundation in the basics of backcountry medical care. Started as the "Mountain/Woods First Aid" course in 1975, this was the first course of its kind in the United States, and it is the curriculum upon which all other backcountry medicine

  • Who? Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Ride Leaders and anyone who needs to know what to do in an outdoor medical emergency
  • When? November 14-15, 2015
    • o 8am-5pm both days
    • o Please pack a lunch
  • Where? Oak Mountain State Park
    • o Red Bud Pavilion at the BMX Track
  • Cost with CPR: $185 Cost without CPR: $150 ($15 late fee applies after 10/31)
    • o CPR cert. on Saturday evening 6pm-8pm
