Seven major history-related Alabama organizations are partnering to bring you a unique workshop—really two workshops in one—designed to strengthen skills in family and local history research and to bolster the organizations who support this research. Come to one day or both, depending on your interests, to learn from the 20+ speakers and panelists we have lined up.

Friday, August 9 – Saturday, August 10, 2019

Coffee and registration at 8:00 a.m. on both August 9 and August 10.

Seminars held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days.

Optional reception and museum tours held evening of August 9. $20

Day One (Aug. 9)—Organizational Tune-up (limited to 75 seats)—$30

For leaders or potential leaders of genealogical and historical organizations. Two tracks will cover topics for strengthening organizations for the 21st century.

Day Two (Aug. 10)—Research Tools & Techniques (limited to 150 seats)—$30

For anyone who wants to excel at the craft of family and/or local history. Two tracks will cover the skills of researching, analyzing, writing, and publishing the history of families, localities, and related fields.
