Event description

Description

Data from across Ohio's Continuums of Care show that certain races are over-represented in the homeless population. A national dialogue has emerged around how to incorporate race equity in solutions and strategies to end homelessness. It is in this context that the Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio (COHHIO) is beginning to undertake work to understand and respond to racial inequities in homelessness statewide.

The Center for Social Innovation and COHHIO will host the first of its kind training series and stakeholder meeting convening Ohio communities to analyze racial disparities in homeless services offered and to develop action plans to create more equitable racial and ethnic outcomes in homeless systems. Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (Ohio MHAS) entered into this partnership because of the link between mental health and homelessness.

6 SW CEUs will be available for attendance, as long as you bring your license number. Lunch will be provided.
