AKOLKOL*

A Festival of Stories For Young Writers Ages 10-14

(In partnership with Richmond Young Writers)

Join John Dau, former Lost Boy of Sudan, National Geographic Emerging Explorer, Global Scholar-in Residence at Collegiate School and author, for a day of writing stories with meaning.

  • Hear John tell the tales of African wisdom and strength that guided his journey.

  • Write your own strong stories and share with others.

  • Read John's work and give your comments for his upcoming book. He wants to hear from you!

  • Create a mini-book of stories, yours and John’s, for your own library.
