Join us in a hike to benefit the AIRS organization to help provide immigrant and refugee services!
The hike will take place on the Scenic Trail of McDowell Mountain. It is a 3.5 mile loop, moderate level trail with beautiful views of the McDowell Mountain Preserve. We'll get to see one of the best views of Four Peaks and the various types of vegetation! Please bring water bottles and appropriate gear for the hike. Additional water bottles will be provided as needed. View a map of the park.
The goal of the organization is to help arrived refugees and legal immigrants with housing, food, clothing, translation as needed. AIRS provides English language instruction, job training, employment assistance, immigration services, referrals and other services.
We will also be collecting hygienic products for arriving participants of the program. This includes - but is not limited to - toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and deodorant. We will have containers for products at the entrance of the trail the day of.
