The Urban Design Committe is shaping the 2015 agenda to supporting legislative initiatives and public and private investments that improve urban design in Los Angeles.
We invite you to join us for the 2nd annual Los Angeles Urban Design Opportunities Town Hall on December 8th, 2014. This will be a two-part event:
5 pm Participatory Workshop with James Rojas
7 pm Town Hall Meeting & Panel @ AIA Offices
Urban Design Opportunities Town Hall
At 7pm the town hall meeting will briefly recap 2014 and kick off our 2015 Committee Program. A panel of speakers will open the town hall:

This is your opportunity to influence the committee’s agenda and become involved. Bring your ideas for initiatives and projects, which contribute to a more livable, people-friendly city.
Participatory Workshop (limited space)
At 5pm James Rojas will host a participatory city visioning workshop. James has successfully used this model-building tool around the country to create a safe space for experimenting and connecting when reimagining cities.

AIA|LA Urban Design Committee
The AIA Los Angeles Urban Design Committee (UDC) serves as an advocacy group supporting legislative initiatives and public and private investments that improve urban design in Los Angeles. The committee has monthly information meetings and initiates workshops and programs to address a variety of current urban design issues.
