Join Us in June...for the AIA/CKC Annual Retreat in Columbus, Indiana

June 2-3, 2023:

Hotel Indigo, Republic Building & Columbus Visitors Center in Columbus, Indiana

Tentative Conference Schedule:

Friday, June 2:

6:30 pm: Dinner at Luciana's Mexican Restaurant

Saturday, June 3:

8:00am: Registration/ Arrival/ Breakfast - at the IU School of Design in the Republic Building

8:30-9:30 am: “Adaptable Reuse" of the Republic Building led by Dane Wallace, a student with the Architecture Program at the IU School of Art, Architecture + Design (more details TBA).

9:30-10:30 am: Showing of the movie “Different by Design”.

10:30-11:30 am: The History of the Cummins Foundation Architecture Program.

12:00-1:00 pm: Lunch and tour of the Columbus Visitors Center.

1:00-5:00 pm: Two tours of 2 hours each will be offered. Half of the group will do each tour, then switch.

They are: 1) Architectural Highlights Tour (by bus) - CURRENTLY FULL

2) Miller House and Garden Tour

6:30 pm: Dinner at Upland Pumphouse.

Cost for the entire weekend (including meals): $60 for AIA members and guests, $90 for non members.

While the deadline to get a hotel at a special rate has past, rooms may still be available by calling (812)375-9100. Tell them you are with AIA Central Kentucky. One room is being held in reserve at the special rate. Contact Steve Goldstein if interested.
