Brrrr . . . it's cold outside! Come celebrate the holidays and reconnect with fellow AIA Southwest Wisconsin members, as we close 2016. Chapter officers will lead members in a 2017 kick-off event that will rekindle your excitement for the profession and inform you of exciting events planned for members to participate in. Join us at the Premier Park Hotel where members and their guests will enjoy drinks and heavy appetizers, along with some trivia fun. A brief tour of the hotel highlighting its renvoations will also be provided.
AIA Southwest Wisconsin will be donating this event’s proceeds to the AIA Southwest Wisconsin/Universal Design Scholarship managed by the Wisconsin Architects Foundation. Thank you for making this donation possible.
AIA Southwest Wisconsin/Universal Design Scholarship
In 1993, AIA Southwest Wisconsin contributed $5,000 and established an endowment with the WAF to provide scholarship assistance to visual, hearing or otherwise physically disabled architecture student or students with a particular interest and ability in accessible design in the graduate program at SARUP. Each year, 75% of the investment income earned by this fund is awarded in scholarships, with the balance added to the endowment. The AIA Southwest Wisconsin subsequently approved allowing the WAF Board to award this scholarship to a qualifying Wisconsin student as part of the WAF Out-of-State Study Scholarship program, as well as amending its name from ADA Scholarship to the Universal Design Scholarship.
