Event description

Description

The Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Chicago) hosts the biggest little party of the year, showcasing the best residential, commercial and institutional architecture and functional objects designed by or for Chicagoans.

  • Meet and mingle with Chicago's architecture community
  • Peruse the exhibit of eighty Small Project Awards entries
  • Celebrate the winning projects in a short program
  • Featuring 15 shortlisted entries to the Disruptive Design affordable housing competition!

Complimentary bites and beverages provided - including beer generously donated by Lagunitas Brewing Company.

Founded by the AIA Chicago Small Practitioners Group and co-presented by the AIA Chicago Custom Residential Architects Network, the goal of this award program is to raise public awareness of the value that architects bring to small projects and to promote small firm practitioners as a resource for design excellence. You can see more about the awards program here, including the 2019 jury and past years winners.

Come on over to Architectural Artifacts in Ravenswood if you:

  • are planning to hire an architect for a project at your home or business
  • want to make connections within Chicago's architectural community
  • wish to be inspired by the amazing work being done in Chicago on a smaller scale - not everyone needs a skyscraper!

FREE and open to all.

THANK YOU TO OUR GENEROUS SPONSORS
