A.I. Networking at #HIMSS17 (Monday 3-4:30pm @ 414D)
Event Information
Description
Join us for a gathering with Health I.T. colleagues interested in improving Health & Care through the use of Artificial Intelligence and related technologies. The goal of this meetup is to bring together A.I. & healthcare thought leaders to discuss how we can all collaborate together on creating the future of A.I. in healthcare.
With the advent of increasing availability of data, computing power, and algorithms -- what was science fiction is now within reach. For example:
- Machine Learning for risk prediction & intervention
- Deep Learning for drug discovery
- Computer Vision for radiology image interpretation
- Chatbots for customer service
- Intelligent Virtual Agents as care managers
- Robots for hospital automation
- Speech Recognition & Natural Language Processing to support caregivers
Let's meet at HIMSS17:
- ~15 minute overview of A.I. uses cases in healthcare for those new to the topic
- Embodied A.I. learning activity
- Then those who are currently working on A.I. will have the chance to introduce themselves to the group (in 30 seconds: What problem are you aiming to solve? What techniques are you using? What collaborators are you looking for?)
- Group discussion & open networking
- Book raffle (Prashant Natarajan, the author of new HIMSS book "Demystifying Big Data and Machine Learning for Healthcare" is giving away 5 copies to attendees of this AI meetup...which is immediately after his 2-3pm book signing.)
Monday Feb. 20th, 3-4:30pm (if you can't stay the whole time, stop by to say Hi)
Room 414D on the 4th Floor of the West Convention Hall building. Light refreshments will be provided
