To celebrate the launch of It's Alive! Artificial intelligence from the logic piano to killer robots, join your host Mel Campbell and author Toby Walsh on a surprising and inspiring journey through the past, the present - and into the future of AI.

Toby Walsh is one of the world’s leading researchers in Artificial Intelligence. He is a Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of New South Wales and leads a research group at Data61, Australia’s Centre of Excellence for ICT Research. He has been elected a fellow of the Association for the Advancement of AI for his contributions to AI research, and has won the prestigious Humboldt research award.

Mel Campbell is a freelance journalist and critic who lectures in Monash University’s Master of Communications and Media Studies program, and co-hosts the fortnightly podcast The Rereaders. Mel's books include Out of Shape: Debunking Myths about Fashion and Fit (Affirm Press, 2013) and The Hot Guy (Echo Publishing, 2017).
