The Autism Hero Project is so EXCITED to share all of the GREAT THINGS that Morton College offers for the "Special Needs" community including their successful "Skills for Daily Living Program" which works to enhance the lives of students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities through exemplary teaching and learning opportunities, community service and life-long learning in an ability appropriate college setting.
During this virtual workshop you will learn more about this special program, learn how to enroll and there will be time for a Q & A.
"Skills for Daily Living Program" works on academics, fitness, soical and computer skills. But that is not all, it also provides work-skills experience, specialty classes, social activities and more.
Morton College works to ensure students who experience disability have equal access and opportunity to participate in educational and co-curricular offerings. There are a number of services provided by The Office of Student Disability Services. The services that are offered include but are not limited to:
• Extended time on exams
• Private testing rooms
• Note taking
• Reading services
• Sign language interpreter
• Faculty and student consultations
