Event description

Description

Be among the 200 people who will gather to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Asylum Hill Neighborhood Association. Thanks to our presenting sponsor, The Hartford, we will enjoy wonderful food and drink, along with each other’s company, and look out onto our beloved city from the company’s 22nd floor Tower Suite.

Reflect on our past, learn about our future, and become even more deeply connected to our shared hope of building a strong and healthy neighborhood in Asylum Hill. We have chosen “Valentine’s Day” week for our event as we believe that love has always been the key to the many great things that have happened in Asylum Hill. Our neighborhood, situated in the “heart” of Hartford, has always been known for its “heart-filled” leaders. In honor of our 20th anniversary, we will honor 20 of our neighbors on February 12 (snow date is February 13). The individuals and institutions we will recognize are:

George Annan-Kingsley
Asylum Hill Congregational Church
Boys and Girls Club
Jennifer Cassidy
Dulcie Giadone
Luwannia Johnson-Martin
Marie Kirkley-Bey
Mike Marshall
Mike McGarry
Michelle McFarland
Tony Mein
Bernie Michel
NINA
Paul O’Mara
Carol Padberg
Nancy Rion
Matt Ritter
St. Francis Hospital
The Hartford
Youth Challenge

There is no cost for the event, but each attendee will be strongly encouraged that evening to make a minimum donation of $20 to help AHNA continue its work for another 20 years. As there are space limits, you will only be able to register yourself and one guest. Only the first 200 to register will be able to attend.

To learn more, or to be recognized as an event sponsor, organizational member or individual donor, contact AHNA at info@asylumhill.org
