Please join us on Wednesday December 7th at the ABC 15 Studios located at 515 N. 44th St. in Phoenix for our final AHE Community Outreach Volunteer event of 2016! Join your AHE colleagues and be a part of Operation Santa Claus—an Arizona tradition that collects food, toys, clothes and monetary donations for local charities. This year's charities are: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix, Inc., St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance, Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC) and Military Assistance Mission (MAM).
At this holiday–oriented community outreach event, AHE volunteers will be the smiling face that answers the call from our valley community! We will be in the ABC 15 Studios ( yes at times LIVE on the air) from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM collecting phone donations from callers supporting these local charities. This is a light hearted fun way to give back in a great big way during the holidays! (Please note there will be opportunities to take breaks and refresh with snacks and drinks.)

About Operation Santa Claus:
The holidays bring out the best in our community, and ABC15's partnership with Sanderson Ford & Lincoln is a 14 years-strong Arizona tradition that collects food, toys, clothes and monetary donations for local charities. In 2015 Operation Santa Claus raised $1,003,226 for Operation Santa Claus charities!
About Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix:
Since 1985, Ronald McDonald House of Phoenix has offered a comfortable, welcoming and affordable home-away-from-home, hosting more than 37,000 family visits. The families stay for days, weeks, sometimes months at a time, while their children undergo medical treatment at Valley hospitals. They are asked to pay just $15 a night to stay at the House, but no family is ever turned away because of its inability to pay. The Phoenix Houses can accommodate up to 63 families each night and the organization serves more than 1,800 families a year.
About St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance:
St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, the world’s first food bank, is a non-sectarian, nonprofit organization that alleviates hunger by efficiently gathering and distributing food to sites that serve the hungry. Serving two-thirds of Arizona’s 15 counties, the organization is committed to volunteerism, building community relationships and improving the quality of life for Arizonans in need.
About Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center:
Established in 1997, the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center’s (SARRC) mission is to advance research and provide a lifetime of support for individuals with autism and their families. Over the past decade, the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) has worked diligently to provide quality services and support to children and families affected by autism, while searching for answers to solve the mysteries surrounding the disorder.
About Military Assistance Mission:
Military Assistance Mission Arizona is a non-profit military support organization. Our mission is to support our Arizona military, their families and our returning wounded warriors facing dire financial needs. We assist with requests such as food, utilities, vehicle payments and repairs, rent and mortgage assistance. We support rank E6 and below. The lowest ranks receive the lowest pay and are actually in the poverty category. We do not want a military family struggling while supporting our freedoms. As a country, we need to show our support and help when they need a hand up. Freedom is not free.
We hope you can make it!
