The Kohala Center and the U.S Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency are presenting four workshops to help Hawai‘i farmers and agricultural businesses. Workshops will cover

  • Business Planning and Financing (Part 1: April 29 / Part 2: July 22)
  • Food Safety, Organic Certification, and Fair Trade (June 10)
  • Cooperatives and Funding (June 24)

Learn how to write a business plan for a farm operation including production planning, marketing and farm financial statements.

June 10: Food Safety, Organic Certification, and Fair Trade

Taught by Maile Woodhall, Agricultural Outreach Specialist, The Kohala Center
Learn all about food safety regulations, fair trade, how to become an organic certified farm and all requirements to certify like record-keeping.
